8 limbs of yoga workshop

Patanjali was the original self-help “guru” and laid out the framework for achieving “samadhi” or enlightenment in the Yoga Sutras through the 8 Limbs of Yoga. This will be part lecture part practice as we review some themes in the yoga sutras, and then dive into each limb. We’ll explore the Yamas and Niyamas (ethical practices and personal practices) with an overview, discussion and reflection of how they show up in our modern lives, then move through a practice that takes the student through each of the limbs sequentially, asana (poses & postures), pratyahara (sense withdrawl), pranayama (breathwork), dharana (mantra), dhyana (meditation), samadhi (savasana/enlightenment).

This mindful vinyasa flow will leave you feeling focused and energized throughout your day. We will start with an intention setting rooted in yoga's ancient practices and a chakra focus, move through seated postures, sun salutations and a standing flow with clear attention to breath and intuitive alignment clues and modifications for all levels of practitioners. Class will end with floor based postures and deep relaxation.

Not quite yin/restorative but not quite vinyasa flow, this class will gently awaken the body. We'll start with low intensity dynamic/repetitive movements to increase mobility, move into some heart and hip opening postures that are low to the ground followed by standing postures and modified sun salutations. We'll end with some pranayama and meditation.

Yoga & Life Coaching Retreat

Spend the day practicing yoga and being coached to a better version of yourself. Lindsey and Kristin will lead you through yoga practices and coaching sessions to reconnect you with the parts of yourself that may have gotten lost in the shuffle of every day life and develop the action steps to make space for what matters the most to you.

Lindsey will lead two yoga sessions while Kristin leads two actionable coaching workshops. Breakfast, lunch, wine & cheese and snacks will be provided throughout the day.
