WHAT IS PURUSHA?

Arguably one of the most important concepts in the practice of yoga, Purusha is the True Self, the divine that exists in each and every one of us. Purusha itself is unchanging, it is always there. Throughout life’s uncertainties, everyday stresses, traumas, and triumphs, we can lose sight of that individual that exists in the heart of our being. But, the person we were meant to be all along is always there.

Through gentle movements, grounding techniques, and conscious breathwork, trauma-informed yoga helps you regulate your nervous system and soothe the persistent anxiety and hypervigilance caused by trauma. It empowers you to confront your fears, enabling you to let go of what no longer serves you.

Sessions include dialogue, postures and pranayama. Clients integrate recommended practices in between sessions based on how much time they can commit.

Hi! I'm Lindsey, a passionate wellness enthusiast who loves helping individuals achieve optimal health and well-being.

Having experienced burnout and setbacks in my career, I truly understand the daily demands and pressures we face. Through yoga, I transformed my life, conquering public speaking fears, panic attacks, and work-life balance. No matter your flexibility or experience, yoga is a practice anyone can benefit from. My mission is to create an inclusive space where everyone feels supported, tailoring the practice to meet your individual needs.

As a trauma-informed yoga instructor, I am committed to providing a nurturing environment specifically designed to support women on their personal health journey. Together, let's create a sustainable yoga practice that empowers you to find balance, effectively manage stress, and ultimately transform your overall health and well-being for the better.

 

NURTURING ARMENIAN WOMEN WITH TRAUMA INFORMED YOGA

At Purusha Wellness, we aim to provide a safe and nurturing space for Armenian women. We understand the weight of ancestral trauma they carry and admire their strength and resilience. That's why our yoga classes are carefully designed to meet their specific needs.

Lindsey’s Armenian heritage and community engagement inspired her to introduce trauma-informed yoga to heal her fellow Armenians. With healing poses, gentle breathing, and mindfulness, participants release unconscious patterns that have been passed down through generations and adopt self-nurturing practices. Prioritizing agency, consent, and self-awareness empowers women to regain control over their bodies and minds.

Furthermore, we cultivate a community of likeminded Armenian women who are ready to break the cycle and ready to support each other along their journeys. Together, we share, uplift, and witness the transformative power of yoga and collective healing.
